67th Annual Ham, Bacon & Egg Show

 

It was another incredible night at the 67th Annual West Virginia FFA Ham, Bacon & Egg Sale, held March 15, 2010 in Charleston. Prior to Monday's sale, Gov. Joe Manchin III hosted a reception for buyers.  The sale for all products totaled $44,493.50 - the third highest state sale total ever!

 

 

The Grand Champion Ham, exhibited by George Hilvers, Tyler  FFA, was purchased by Gunnoe Farms LLC. for $4,485.  The Reserve Champion Ham was prepared by Samantha Thomas , from Valley Pine Grove FFA, and purchased by Gunnoe Sausage Company for $3,680. 

 

 

Justin McNay, Marion County FFA, had the Grand Champion Bacon.  The bacon was purchased by Kroger Mid-Atlantic for $5,600.  Cameron FFA's Josh Hinerman had the Reserve Champion Bacon, which sold for $4,800.   Fas Chek  was the buyer.

 

The Grand Champion Eggs were exhibited by Amanda Parsons of Cameron FFA.  The eggs sold for $5,600 and were purchased by Kroger Mid-Atlantic.  Clay Ueltschy, from Valley Pine Grove FFA, sold the Reserve Champion Eggs for $1,100 to Kroger Mid-Atlantic
