66th Annual Ham, Bacon & Egg Show

It was another incredible night at the 66th Annual West Virginia FFA Ham, Bacon & Egg Sale, held March 9, 2009 in Charleston. Prior to Monday's sale, Gov. Joe Manchin III hosted a reception for buyers.  The sale for all products totaled $36,747.00 - the fifth highest state sale total ever!

 

 

The Grand Champion Ham, exhibited by Nick Billeter, Tyler  FFA, was purchased by Tate-Porter Family Auto Mall for $3,325  The Reserve Champion Ham was prepared by Kelly Flesher , from Tyler FFA, and purchased by Gunnoe Sausage Company for $2,200. 

 

 

Jenessa Kinkade, Valley Pine Grove FFA, had the Grand Champion Bacon.  The bacon was purchased by RG Gunnoe Farms LLC. for $1,750.  Valley's Ava Morris had the Reserve Champion Bacon, which sold for $1,800.   Kroger Mid-Atlantic  was the buyer.

 

The Grand Champion Eggs were exhibited by Trevor Cummings of Roane County FFA.  The eggs sold for $2,000 and were purchased by Tate-Porter Family Auto Mall.  Brandon Ash, from Roane County FFA, sold the Reserve Champion Eggs for $2,500 to Fas Chek
