2007 Leadership Training for State FFA Officers

Soon after their election, the 2007-08 State FFA Officer Team began an intense period of leadership training.

The officers returned to Cedar Lakes five days after their election to participate in "BLAST OFF."  "BLAST OFF" is a three-day leadership training experience delivered by the National FFA Organization, involving only the WV officer team, state staff, and a trainer from the national organization.  The conference is designed to Build Leaders And Strong Teams of Officers.

Katlyn Hendershot and Ashley Kisamore then traveled to the FFA State Presidents' Conference in Washington, D.C. from July 23-28.  The conference focused on issues facing the entire national organization.

The officer team traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, July 30-August 3 to participate in the National Leadership Conference for State Officers.  The group joined officer teams from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia and received training from National FFA Officers Jamie Cecil and Kacy Baugher.

The officer team had a GREAT time while learning how to refine and apply their leadership skills to serve the membership.
