2007 National FFA Convention Summary
West Virginia FFA members joined with over 54,000 other members to celebrate the 80th National FFA Convention, held October 24-27, 2007 in Indianapolis.

West Virginia received several prestigious national awards. The West Virginia Department of Agriculture received one of only two Distinguished Service Awards. Don Michael was given the VIP Award. Five individuals received the Honorary American FFA.

Kellen McNutt, past state officer from Roane County, was one of forty-one candidates seeking national FFA office. Although she was not selected, the state's members can be very proud of Kellen's efforts preparing herself for the grueling selection process.
A big thanks also goes to West Virginia University's Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences and to Potomac State College for informing members from across the nation about opportunities at these great institutions.
